Hi there, I’m Darby. I love to tell a story.

I started out my career in marketing, but became a product designer because I love to tell stories in multi-media—color, writing, design, video—I love to create experiences which deeply connect with people.

I help therapists.

My mom is a therapist. Growing up, she would tell the wildest tales from the edges of human emotion. I intimately know the challenges of being a clinician, as well as the beauty and fulfillment that comes from helping people to deeply change.

My calling is supporting the work of therapists in the digital age—connecting them with those who would most benefit from their care. I want to help them tell their story.

Opal Journal

Most recently, I’ve founded Opal Journal, an iOS journaling app geared towards depth work. Many therapists have used it with their clients as in-between session tools, including creating their own journal prompts for clients to use within the app.
